Buy Local Berkeley is a project of the Berkeley Business District Network and the City of Berkeley. A study by the Downtown Berkeley Association found that buying locally produces the following benefits for the community: more jobs, less envirnmental impact on the planet, a stronger local economy and tax base, lower public expenditures, and a stronger local identity.
